Sony DADC acquires Nordic distributor

Sony DADC has acquired Entertainment Network Scandinavia.

The move strengthens Sony DADC’s position in in the Nordic region, with ENS boasting a 16,000 square metre distribution centre which ships over 30m units each year. Acquiring ENS also further expands Sony DADC’s entertainment service offering in Scandinavia, which cover everything from disc manufacture to distribution and cash collection.

ENS was formed in 2000 by music labels EMI, Sony BMG and Universal.

"Our existing customers come from the music and games industry and we will continue to provide excellent services to Nordic retail, having signed a long term service agreement with the former owners," said ENS MD Stig Ingelstrom. "Being part of the Sony DADC network, we combine the best of both worlds: ENS’ good reputation for high quality distribution services embedded in Sony DADC’s European supply chain."
