Sony remains ‘committed’ to Driveclub PS Plus Edition

The PlayStation Plus Edition of Evolution’s racer DriveClub has not been cancelled, Sony has said.

We understand many of you are waiting for Driveclub PS Plus Edition to be added to the Instant Game Collection, and we apologise that the game is not yet ready to launch,” PSN content manager Chris Howe said.

We want you to know that we’re committed to providing Driveclub PS Plus Edition to members when it’s ready, and the team at Evolution Studios is working hard to make it a reality.”

The game was postponed last week after weeks of technical problems that have thus far not only delayed the release of the free version, but also prevented those who purchased the full game from accessing all of its features.

Yesterday marked one month since the game was released in the US.

Sony has, however, confirmed its PS+ Instant Game Collection additions for November – The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth and Steamworld Dig on PS4, Frozen Synapse Prime and Luftrausers on PS3 and The Hungry Horde and Escape Plan on PS Vita.

In December adding Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition and Secret Ponchos will be added to PS4, the former of which is the first previously full retail release to be added to Instant Game Collection.

In January PS4 owners will be able to access InFamous: First Light and The Swapper.
