UK indie startup Terrible Lizard Productions has joined Tiga just months after forming.
The firm launched in May 2009 with a key objective – to create content in areas that have been “under-exploited” by the current crop of game developers, specifically for “mass-market” audiences.
Executive producer Steve Hickman further explained the company’s position;
“Terrible Lizard was founded to produce AAA games based on innovative concepts that will appeal to segments of the market that traditional game companies have struggled to reach.”
“We achieve this by raising production finance from industry independent sources, which allows us to maintain creative control of our projects throughout the production lifecycle.”
Tiga CEO Richard Wilson praised Terrible Lizard as an “innovative company” working on original games.
“The company is a great example of the creative, exciting industry we have here in the UK,” he added.
