Steam enters community battleground

With services such as Microsoft’s Windows Live currently spearheading the community gaming movement, Valve is to this week launch a host of new community features for its massively popular Steam network.

The free update will allow users to build their own personal Steam pages and profiles, schedule games with friends, chat with other users and establish themed groups. All the features will instantly be available in all of Steam’s games.
