Supermassive hires Sega’s Jim Woods

Until Dawn creator Supermassive Games has appointed industry veteran Jim Woods as executive producer.

Joining from Sega Europe, where he was director of development services, Woods has been working in the industry since the late 80s in various senior management roles for the likes of DMA Design or Codemasters. His former roles include development director on the early Grand Theft Auto games, head of studio for Codemasters’ Colin McRea Rally 5 and studio director for Sega’s Brisbane studio.

Supermassive’s managing director Pete Samuels commented: We’re delighted to welcome Jim to the leadership team at Supermassive. His significant experience in multiple senior roles, spanning four decades in the games industry, will be invaluable as we enter an exciting time of growth for the studio.”

Supermassive is currently working on PS4 exclusive Hidden Agenda and two PSVR titles announced at E3 2017: The Inpatient and Bravo Team.

The studio also recently won a Develop Award for Larry Fessenden’s performance in Until Dawn: Rush of Blood.
