In the same month that the UK development sector demonstrated its mental agility at the Develop Quiz, the nation’s studios also proved their physical prowess at the inaugural Develop Football Challenge.
Gathering on Friday at the Barnet Powerleague in north London, 13 teams did battle in a 5-aside tournament that was hard fought by all.
The mighty Testology squad emerged as champions, taking home the main Cup, along with Player of the Tournament and Top Scorer trophies. Meanwhile Jagex scooped the Plate prize for their valiant efforts in the tournament for those defeated in the group stages.
Some incredible goals were scored, a few players earned well-needed attention from the St Johns Ambulance sweethearts, and despite the odd boisterous confrontation at the goalmouth, a great time was had by everyone in attendance.
Big thanks to the event sponsors SuperMassive Games and UKIE, who made the Develop Football Challenge possible.
