The Italian Video Game Awards 2018 takes place tonight, in partnership with MCV

Tonight is the big night for the Italian games industry as the Italian Video Game Awards 2018 will take place in Milan, one of Europe’s capitals of creativity, at Teatro Vetra.

This year’s primary awards ceremony for the Italian games industry comes with the backing of the MCV as media partner, cementing Italy’s continuing international drive.

You can watch the ceremony in Italian live on Twitch at 7pm (6pm UK time).

The awards are designed to both celebrate and highlight the very best creative work in video games, with Italian trade body AESVI having promoted the event for the last six years. Tonight‘s event is the first to link up with international platforms such as MCV, signifying the Italian’s industry’s dedication to cementing its ties with creatives across the globe.

The ceremony is hosted by local star presenters Rocco Tanica and Lucilla Agosti. There will also be a series of MCV sponsored Special Recognition Awards, designed to honour both the most successful individual in the Italian Industry, and the most successful Italian games company in the world.

You can check out all the nominations for this year’s awards over at ItalianVideoGameAwards.com. Good luck to everyone, we’ll have a full list of the winners later tonight!
