There’s a $1,200 special edition Assassin’s Creed movie ticket pre-order

Ubisoft is often cited for the multitude of ways in which is tempts consumers to pre-order its games, and it’s staying loyal to this approach for its upcoming movie, too.

VG247 reports that ticket pre-sale site Kernal currently has a range of ticket pre-orders up for grabs, the most expensive of which costs $1,200. The money gets you a ticket to the film and some popcorn. Oh, and a 1:1 scale replica of a 15th century Spanish crossbow.

There are plenty of other options, too, ranging from $15 for a ticket, digital script and some behind-the-scenes extras to $60 for a McFarlane hidden blade toy or $600 for a statue.

The full range can be seen on Kernel.

The trailer for the Assassin’s Creed movie dropped last week. There was, shockingly, a decent dollop of whinging online, but it has so far been viewed over 1mm times and has plenty of likes. It was revealed this week that, unlike the games, around 65 per cent of the film’s action takes place in the modern day Abstergo setting, with only 35 per cent happening in the Aminus-simulated historical Spain.

Here’s the trailer again. The film is out this December:
