Pac-Man creator to present three-hour talk at TGS umbrella event

Toru Iwatani to speak at Japan International Contents Festival

Famitsu.com has reported that Pac-Man creator Toru Iwatani is to speak at the Japan International Contents Festival.

The event is an umbrella for various media-related shows that aims to showcase Japanese media produce. It takes place in Tokyo from the middle of September to the end of October, and includes the games industry-related Tokyo Game Show 2007, CESA Developer’s Conference and ‘DiGRA 2007 (Digital Games Research Association JAPAN)’, alongside other shows related to TV, Asian music and animation.

Iwatani will be taking part in the ‘Dramatic three-hour SHOW: three hours with the professionals’ event, which will run from October 1st to October 10th. On each of these days, one media professional will discuss their experiences in the media industries and the methods they used in creating hit titles.

The schedule for the event is currently undecided, although it has been announced that the event will be taking part at the ‘Spiral Hall’ culture centre in Tokyo’s Aoyama district, and entrance is free.
