TVTechGlobal special issue thrusts esports into broadcaster spotlight

Esports Pro’s sister publication TVTechGlobal, which is the leading resource for media and entertainment professionals, has released a special issue dedicated specifically to esports.

The magazine was first made available for attendees of the recent IBC 2017 trade conference in Amsterdam last week. It was designed to give broadcast professionals some insight into our growing sector, and highlighting why no-one can afford to ignore it.

“Learn how broadcasters are working in the fastest growing sector of the entertainment industry,” it stated. “If you think esports is just a passing phase, then…well, I pity you. esports is one of the most rapidly growing sectors of the entertainment industry.

“Whether esports is really a ‘sport’ is still a matter of semantics, but from the broadcast perspective, it should be treated like one – a big one – and one with a whole new level of special requirements and special opportunities.

“In this our first eSports Special, we bring you commentary, case studies and analysis on how broadcasters and their suppliers are making headway into the biggest new content arena out there.”

You can read the magazine in full in your browser on Issue by clicking on this link. The ‘Could esports save TV’ feature is particularly worth a read.
