UK prize winners confirmed for Industry All Stars event

Participating studios have been confirmed for September’s ‘Industry All Stars’ event, hosted by GameHorizon, with Rockstar Leeds, FreeStyle Games and Realtime Worlds all confirmed as taking part.

The event, which takes place on September 4th at The Sage in Gateshead, promises to look at some of the most successful studios of the past year, showcasing their work and talking about the UK games industry.

GameHorizon has used the Develop Industry Excellence Award winners list to form the participants for its first session: Rockstar Leeds won Best Handheld Studio, FreeStyleGames took home Best Audio Accomplishment (for B-Boy), whikle Realtime Worlds was winner of New UK Studio and Innovation (for Crackdown).

The event will open from keynote by Chris Lee of FreeStyleGames and Phil Wilson of Realtime Worlds and then a panel session – featuring Rockstar Leeds and others – to debate the achievements and highlights of the UK games industry over the past year.

The event’s second session will look at what 2008 holds for UK studios, with participating studios to be announced soon.
