Tranzfuser, the new initiative designed to foster emerging development talent in the UK, has revealed its first set of final-year student and graduate teams.
The programme is backed by UK Games Talent and Finance, with funding from the UK government. This year marks its first occurrence.
The 20 groups selected to participate in the competition have been provided with a £5,000 budget to help them produce a working prototype of their game over the next 10 weeks.
Titles produced by the teams will be showcased at an event later this year, with those selected able to apply for up to a further £25,000 in funding from the UK Games Fund.
The overall aim is to allow successful candidates to commercialise their game and launch a full-blown company.
