Final sessions for next week's conference revealed

Valve’s Steam devs heading to Develop in Brighton

Valve’s Steam dev team will be on-hand at next week’s Develop in Brighton conference, the event’s organisers have announced.

Revealing the final sessions for the Brighton event, Valve’s Anna Sweet, Augusta Butlin, DJ Powers and Jason Holtman will be doing a ‘Meet the Steam Team’ session focusing on development and indie dev marketing.

Other sessions will include ‘Starting a New Games Brand’ by Dojit’s David Bozard, ‘The Future of Entertainment’ by BBC Worldwide exec producer Steve Harris and Google’s senior acquisition manager will discuss how to advertise your game on Google.

“We’re very excited to announce speakers from Amazon, Google and BBC Worldwide, which further display both the increasing convergence between games and TV and the rise of digital distribution,” said Tandem Events MD Andy Lane

“The fact that the Develop Conference draws names from global entertainment giants such as these is also testament to the investment we have made over the last seven years to continually evolve this conference to ensure it always meets the knowledge, networking and business requirements of today’s games developers in Europe.”

Develop in Brighton will take place between July 10th and 12th at the Hilton Metropole Hotel, and will include various tracks and keynotes from industry experts such as Eidos life president Ian Livingstone and Bioware Mythic studio GM Eugene Evans.

The Develop Awards will also take place during the Develop in Brighton conference on July 11th, with more than 500 people expected to attend representing companies from around the world.
