Wargaming and Facebook strike partnership that sees Wargaming produce Facebook Live video content

Wargaming and Facebook have come together today to reveal plans for Wargaming to provide more than 1,000 hours of live and on-demand video content for Facebook’s Facebook Live video service.

The video content, available from Wargaming’s various Facebook Pages, will let players and fans check out live game streams, access historical content, see footage of new features and watch and participate with Q&A’s with popular streamers.

In addition, Wargaming will be streaming all of its esports content to the service, with footage from each stage of competitions.

“Bringing exciting and uniquely-created live video content to Facebook was an obvious step for us,” said Jamy Nigri, senior vice president of commercial development for Wargaming.

“We’ll be introducing new ways to interact with our games to our 3.9 million Facebook community members and gamers across the globe. Player happiness is at our core, and we can’t wait to let fans engage through Facebook.”

Meanwhile, Bob Slinn, the head of games partnerships for Facebook’s EMEA region, added: “Team-based MMOs like World of Tanks, World of Warplanes and World of Warships make up some of the most popular gaming communities on Facebook, and we’re looking forward to all the creative ways in which Wargaming will bring fans closer to the games they love.”

Wargaming’s deal comes shortly after a partnership between Facebook and Bluehole that saw PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds streamed live on the service.
