Wargaming and Splash Damage partner to make new projects

London-based Splash Damage, whose work includes Dirty Bomb and multiplayer design on the Gears of War series, has signed a new deal with World of Tanks developer, Wargaming.

The partnership will see Splash Damage create new projects for the Wargaming community. Wargaming is primarily a free-to-play developer with games that have focused on machine based combat such as tanks and ships in World of Warships. While there is no announcement of what the new projects will be, competitive multiplayer must be pretty high on that list.

“Splash Damage is known for building loyal relationships with only the world’s leading platforms, IPs and suppliers, and creating one-of-a-kind teamplay hits," said Splash Damage CEO, Paul Wedgwood. "As gamers, Victor [Kislyi – Wargaming CEO] and I share the same passion for our communities. We actively listen to players and strive to put their needs first, whilst forging multiplayer experiences that champion cooperation and help develop new friendships. The Wargaming universe gives our team a great creative canvas, allowing us to develop a game experience for a massive, loyal following, and we’re extremely excited to get started.”

“What impresses me most about Splash Damage is their passion for every project they take on,” added Wargaming CEO, Kislyi. “They’re working incredibly hard to create truly memorable games, won’t stop until everything runs like clockwork, and share in our values of player-focused game design, which makes them just the right partner for Wargaming.”

Splash Damage is currently on a recruitment drive for new projects and details can be found on their website.
