Xenoblade developer Monolith Soft helping make Zelda

Nintendo’s new Zelda Breath of the Wild is being made with the help of Xenoblade Chronicles X studio Monolith Soft.

That’s according to Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto who, speaking to Game Informer, said that over 100 people are helping make the new Zelda title for Wii U and NX.

The long-awaited next chapter in The Legend of Zelda franchise was confirmed to be named Breath of the Wild at E3 last week.

After being announced for the Wii U in 2013, Nintendo revealed the new game would be released simultaneously in NX, too. This means it is launching in 2017.

Yes they are involved in this Zelda,” Miyamoto said.

People from Tokyo and Kyoto are working together on this. There is a team of over 100 helping work on this project, and their work has really been helpful.”
