Homefront: Ultimate Edition due by April

THQ will release a new SKU for its newest FPS series Homefront in the next few months.

The publisher’s latest release schedule lists Homefront: Ultimate Edition as a new title for current quarter, ending March 31st. It will be released for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

No other information is given, although it is safe to assume it will include the original game and the two downloadable map packs, The Rock (which includes an Alcatraz map) and Fire Sale.

Homefront is set in a speculative future where a unified Korea has conquered America. Itdebuted at No.1 in March 2011, and was the best-selling game for that month.

A sequel is currently in the works at Crytek after the original developer Kaos was closed last summer.
