Killzone 2 composer signs for Futurlab game

An award winning Killzone 2 composer been signed by FuturLab to produce music for its upcoming PSN minis shooter, the studio has announced.

The composer, Joris De Man, previously won an Ivor Novello award for his work on the hit PlayStation 3 title.

“It’s always exciting to be involved with indie projects,” said Joris.

“There’s an energy that comes from working with teams like FuturLab that’s contagious and fuels my ideas because they take risks where some can’t.

“It’s going to be fun to delve into my Atari roots to bring an old school flavour to the sound of this mini.”

Announced last year, the vertical scrolling space shoot ‘em up is due for release March 2012. The studio is currently holding a name the game competition for the unnamed title.

FuturLab has previously worked on PSN game Coconut Dodge, released in August last year, which recieved an average rating of 81 on MetaCritic.
