Crowds gather for iPhone 4S launch

It may not be the iPhone 5 that many were hoping for, but hundreds of people have been queuing today for the new 4S model.

The new iPhone 4S was announced last week and features a new CPU, vastly improved graphics, an 8MP camera and 1080p video recording.

Yesterday, it emerged that three million people have pre-ordered the smartphone in just under a week.

Apple released its newest firmware, iOS 5, earlier this week to coincide with the launch.
