New management at Atari

Online publisher Atari has hired new additions to its management team as it continues to establish itself in the mobile and casual space.

Owais Farooqui joins from social games firm King.com as senior vice president of digital publishing, accoridng to TouchArcade.

Meanwhile, Maria Pacheco takes up the role of vice president of mobile. She previously worked for Vivendi Games Mobile.

Finally, the company has hired Robert Mattes as chief financial officer. He most recently held the same position at market research firm Authentic Response.

Atari is currently try to estabilsh a foothold in the mobile and casual gaming markets with the use of its long-running properties such as Asteroids.

It is due to launch a Facebook RPG, Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes of Neverwinter, later this year.
