Online multiplayer is key to the progress of the games industry, Gerhard says

Jagex to discuss online future at Edinburgh show

Jagex CEO Mark Gerhard has been added to this year’s Edinburgh Interactive bill.

He will discuss ‘The Multiplayer Revolution,’ and explain why the industry needs to catch-up in meeting gamers’ multiplayer needs.

“I am delighted to have the opportunity to speak at this year’s Edinburgh Interactive,” commented Gerhard.

"The gaming landscape is evolving at such a pace that developers have to move quickly to keep up with player’s expectations. In the session I will be sharing my view that multiplayer online games hold the key to the future of the industry, and give my analysis of how we as a company have adapted to stay ahead of the pack."

Edinburgh Interactive is taking place from the August 11th to 12th August at The Radisson Blu Hotel in Edinburgh.
