Sega reveals Captain America

Publisher Sega has lifted the lid on its official game based on one of next summer’s biggest Hollywood releases Captain America: Super Soldier.

The game features an original plot penned by Marvel writer Christos Gage and will feature noted enemies such as Iron Cross, the Hydra Army and Red Skull. Of central focus is the Captain’s shield, which is designed as both an offensive and defensive weapon.

Video game players the world over can now become Marvel’s iconic Super Hero Captain America,” Sega Europe and America’s senior VP of marketing Gary Knight stated.

Captain America: Super Soldier puts players in the boots of the ultimate Super Soldier, wielding Captain America’s legendary shield. Working closely with Marvel ensures we’re delivering the calibre of product that gamers and comic fans deserve and it’s a partnership we’re proud of here at Sega.”

Captain America: Super Soldier will be released on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and DS next summer. The movie is due out in July.
