But the famed Dundee studio will still fight on

Realtime Worlds confirms wide-ranging cuts

Dundee studio Realtime Worlds has initiated wide-ranging cuts across the company, the group has confirmed.

RTW said it has finished its consultation process which was initially announced back in July.

“The supporting infrastructure for a game inevitably changes once released,” read a statement from the firm.

“Those staff that couldn’t be redeployed to new projects in the Art, Audio, Coding, Design, Production, and QA departments have regrettably been made redundant.”

The group chose not to number the volume of layoffs at the studio, and did not confirm whether its next game, Project Myworld, would be axed.

It was said the project has thus far failed to secure a publishing deal.

Realtime Worlds suggested, however, that it will not look to sell on APB.

Develop has contacted studio manager Colin Macdonald for comment.
