Transformers MMO in the works

A brand new MMO based on the still lucrative Transformers IP is apparently in development at Chinese studio NetDragon.

Kotaku reports that the title has been officially sanctioned by Hasbro and in pencilled in for an initial release in China, key Asian territories, Russia, the Middle East and North Africa.

Other NetDragon releases include Crazy Tao, Monster and Me and Warlords Online.

In June, Hasbro designer Aaron Archer claimed that the toy giant was considering further games based on the popular franchise in light of the warm reception given to Activision’s recent Transformers: war for Cybertron.
