Daresbury specialist tells develop why adaptable pipelines are the key to success

Cubic Motion talks better facial animation

In a special Develop feature published online today, Cubic Motion has been explaining why it believes that tailored pipelines are as important to a facial animation project as any technology selected for the task in hand.

“Cubic Motion believes the key to overall efficiency is to embrace the idea of adaptable pipelines tailored to each project,” stated Cubic Motion’s chief executive Gareth Edwards, speaking to Develop.

“On a game development project of a reasonable size, it’s better to invest slightly more time in getting the pipeline right, in the context of what the production needs, rather than decide on some particular technology up front and attempt to fit everything around it.”

The full feature, in which Cubic Motion provides an insight into better handling of adaptive pipelines and its meta-system approach to facial animation, is available here.
