Sonic speeding onto Natal?

Software – it’s the big question that still hangs over Microsoft’s Xbox 360 motion expansion Natal, and now one leading games mascot is being linked to the peripheral.

Joystiq reports that Sega is preparing a downloadable version of last-gen racing game Sonic Riders for the device. Called Sonic Free Riders, players will eb able to control Sonic and friends by simply moving their body.

Collectibles are said to be gathered by reaching out toward the screen while opponents can be attacked with a jab of the arm.

Onlookers will be hoping to see a number of brand new games revealed for Natal as to date Microsoft has been very quiet about the titles that will be available come its anticipated launch in Q4 this year.
