Respawn Entertainment grows in strength as IW-rebels continue to cross the floor

Infinity-gate: Two more join at Respawn

Senior software engineer Chris Lambert and designer Brent McLeod have joined Respawn Entertainment. Having been part of the recent Infinity Ward exodus, the pair made the announcement of their new jobs on their LinkedIn profiles.

Joystiq first reported the story, also noting that three more staff have left Infinity Ward as part of the ongoing ‘Infinity-gate’ debacle.

Those other leavers were lead character artist Joel Emslie and artists Ryan Lastimosa and Brad Allen. All three announced their departure on Facebook. They have yet to comment on their future plans.

The trickling of Infinity Ward departures/Respawn arrivals, however, seems likely to go on for some time.

The catalyst for the events – Activision’s firing of ex-IW heads Vince Zampella and Jason West – clearly caused deep-set anger with the Modern Warfare publisher. The response seems to have been designed to maximise embarrassment for them.
