Battlefield series associate producer leaves DICE to begin new project

Gordon Van Dyke moves to Visceral

Associate producer for the Battlefield franchise Gordon Van Dyke has left studio DICE to start work on a new project with Visceral Games.

In a series of April 1 twitter announcements reported by Blast Magazine, Van Dyke outlined his reasons for moving and his hopes for the future.

“I know, April Fools, but yes, I have left DICE. I’m still in EA though and moving back to the Bay Area to be closer to family for a few years,” he said.

On April 6, he added: “First day at Visceral went great, even though most of it was orientation. I think this project is going to impress and surprise gamers.”

Speaking to Joystiq, Van Dyke again confirmed that he is helping Visceral with a new project, and would reveal more about it at a later date.
