iPad launching in UK on April 24th?

Apple’s iPad has already sold 300K units in just a day on sale in the US – but the firm has been tight lipped on the exact date of a UK roll out.

However entertainment and celebrity news site Digital Spy reckons the date for UK launch is soon – April 24th in fact.

The site says a ‘source close to Apple’ has tipped it off on the news.

Apple has not confirmed the claim as yet – but it had previously said the device will hit the UK in April, not long after the initial US launch.

And it is due to detail more about the iPhone 4.0 OS on Thursday this week. Apple could potentially flesh out its global iPad roll out plans at the same time.

It’s not yet known what UK pricing for the device will be, but estimates range from 380 upwards, depending on the model/capacity.
