Dundee studio take John Logie Baird Award

Realtime Worlds win tech award for APB

Realtime Worlds, the studio behind titles like Grand Theft Auto and Lemmings, has won the prestigious John Logie Baird Award for business innovation.

They took the award in recognition of the character and vehicle customisation system used in APB (All Points Bulletin), the upcoming MMO designed by GTA creator David Jones.

Realtime Worlds spokesperson Colin Macdonald was keen to impress the absolute freedom of customisation, saying that no two players will ever look exactly the same.

“This award means a lot to our business. It feels fantastic to be recognised for all our hard work over the years, and what greater honour than to receive an award which celebrates one of Scotland’s greatest inventors – John Logie Baird,” he added.
