£250 discount available as call for speakers continues

Game Based Learning opens early bird registration

The organisers of the 2010 Game Based Learning event have today opened early bird registration, which could save delegates up to £250 on the cost of a pass.

The conference brings together opinion formers from development, education and government, and this year hopes to shed light on the potential of social media, off the shelf product and serious gaming to enhance learning in schools, universities and healthcare.

Numerous speakers are already confirmed including Siobhan Reddy and Kareem Ettouney of LittleBigPlanet’s Media Molecule, Ed Vaizey, shadow minister for culture and the creative industries, Alice Taylor, commissioning editor for Channel 4 education, and Mind Candy CEO Michael Acton Smith.

The conference, taking place from March 29th to 30th in London’s The Brewery, is also still accepting session and talk proposals, and offering the chance for interested parties to present academic findings at the research strand.

The 600 delegates can also take advantage of one to one developer sessions, European bid ‘speed-dating’ and an evening social networking reception. Registrations completed before January 31st will also receive a free pass worth £95 which will allow them to attend an extra workshop hosted in London.

A January 31st deadline also applies to early bird discounts, speaker and research strand submissions.
