November 17th launch for 360 Twitter, Facebook

Microsoft has confirmed that Twitter and Facebook integration will be coming to Xbox Live on November 17th.

The update was announced at E3 and brings popular social media such as Twitter, Facebook and Last FM to the Xbox 360 Dashboard.

The release date was confirmed to Fast Company, who spoke to Xbox Live’s general manager Marc Whitten, who said these additions are turning Xbox and Live into this rich media portal that continuously surfaces the most engaging things to do in the living room”.

He added: We look at things like Facebook and Twitter as amazing social experiences, but also entertainment. We didn’t want to copy and paste from the PC.”
