Modern Warfare 2 already pirated?

Activision Blizzard’s Modern Warfare 2 has been illegally downloaded over a week before release, according to blogs dedicated to the game.

In devastating news for retail, one online source reports the that game has already been ripped for modded or ‘flashed’ Xbox 360 owners – and is available for illegal upload on peer-to-peer sites.

Another – with no pictoral evidence – claims the game is even being sold in stores.

A Microsoft spokesperson told MCV this morning: We are aware of the reports but cannot comment on ongoing investigations.”

The game is due out on PS3, 360 and PC on November 10th worldwide.
