New Resident Evil Wii titles announced

On the eve of the release of Resident Evil 5, Capcom has unveiled three new Resident Evil titles for Nintendo Wii.

The first game on the schedule is Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, a sequel to Capcom’s hit on-rails Wii blaster, The Umbrella Chronicles.

The game focuses on Capcom’s 1998 classic Resident Evil 2, and gives gamers the chance ‘to re-live some of the most memorable moments of the Resident Evil franchise.’ The game is set for release next Winter.

Capcom has also unveiled its Resident Evil Classics line, which features re-worked versions of GameCube hits, Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil. Both games will have Wii Remote controls and will be made available at a value price point.

Resident Evil 5 hits retail tomorrow on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
