British fantasy author hired for Doom 4

British fantasy novelist Graham Joyce has been hired by id to work on Doom 4, reports CVG.

Joyce, who has won British Fantasy awards and published 14 novels and 26 short stories, confirmed to the site that he has been hired "to help develop the storyline potential", but couldn’t give further details due to non-disclosure agreements.

The project was announced in May 2007 as part of a recruitment announcement, but this is the first information released on the project thus far.
