Social gaming widget to unite mobile and PC internet users

Dojo gaming platform launched for mobiles

Dojo Media has made live its Dojo technology as it reaches the end of its final testing, offering a public multiplayer gaming platform that does not discriminate between browser, PC and mobile devices, and network service providers.

Cubed Addict is the first title to be released on the Dojo service, which can be accessed for free through social networking sites like Facebook and Bebo as a widget. The platform allows users to play against each other across the world, whether on computer or internet-enabled mobile device.

Dojo Media, which was formed in 2008 and has offices in London and Sydney, has already made the platform available to more than 20 countries, and is experiencing up to 2,500 ‘sessions’ per day. The technology itself has been in development for five years, and is free to download thanks to advertisement funding.

Dojo also offers community aspects such as chat, mail and tournaments. Users can also earn virtual currency by playing the games, which can be spent on virtual in-game items and premium tournament entry.
