fbFund awards company's Social Arcade game-creation tool

The Game Creators get $25k from Facebook

Indie and hobbyist game technology developers The Game Creators have been awarded $25,000 by Facebook’s fbFund, reports VentureBeat.

The fund was set up by the social networking giant to provide funds and mentorship to help Facebook developers create innovative and useful applications.

The Game Creators has been developing Social Arcade, a Facebook-exclusive application that lets users create their own games using a simple drag-and-drop interface and then share those games with their friends. A library of behaviours, stored server-side, means that complex objects can be inserted into games without any coding required.

Social Arcade is currently in open alpha, and can be found here.
