GAME plans 100 new stores

GAME’s outlook for financial year 2008/9 demonstrates the retailer’s current confidence as it looks to expand heavily into France, Spain and Australia, with 100 new stores on the agenda.

It also expects to see continued strong current trading” and for the Gamestation acquisition to result in revenue and cost synergies of around 7 million.

Alongside continued growth in its online offering, gross margin is also expected to improve by 50 to 100 basis points driven by purchasing synergies and a slightly reduced hardware participation in the sales mix.
