Spectrobes 2 details revealed

Disney has unveiled details of the next game in the Spectrobes series, entitled Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals, which is due out for Nintendo DS

The title picks up from the original game, continuing the story of Rallen and Jeena, interplanetary patrol officers who discover, excavate, awaken and train mysterious fossilised creatures known as Spectrobes.

Spectrobes has become an international sensation,” said Disney Studios’ senior vice president of global marketing Craig Relyea.

By continuing to build on its enthralling story, unique gameplay features and memorable characters, Spectrobes: Beyond The Portals will continue to thrill fans. This second game is part of our plan to expand the series in the coming years.”

Spectrobes: Beyond The Portals boasts many new features, including a new story, a new 3D perspective, new battle features, more creature and an online battle system using Nintendo Wi-Fi connection.

Spectrobes: Beyond The Portals is due for release this autumn.
