MMO studio using Epic tech to power Prisontale 2

Yedang Online licences Unreal Engine 2.5

Korean online game studio Yedang Online, developer of the 100 million user-strong online dancing game Audition, has licenced Epic’s Unreal Engine 2.5.

The engine is being used for the new MMO Prisontale 2: The Second Enigma, which has been in development for four years and is currently in open beta.

“The Unreal Engine’s capabilities and seamless third party module support allowed us to create the exact gameplay first envisioned by the game designers,” said Moon Duk-Ki, lead designer and head of development management at Yedang Online.

Epic’s VP Jay Wilbur added: “Yedang Online has proven that they know how to ship extremely popular online games, and we are confident that Pristontale 2 will be widely embraced by the market. Epic is proud to continue supporting Yedang Online with great technology.”
