Another big name steps up at Atari

2008’s impressive staff recruitment drive at Atari and parent Infogrames shows no sign of stopping – as Mathias Hautefort is promoted to head of global distribution.

Hautefort, who MCV enjoyed an exclusive interview with earlier this year, will look after distribution in the US, Europe and Asia.

He moves up from his previous role as executive VP of publishing and production.

"[Hautefort] is a key member of the company and as executive vice president for worldwide publishing and production, he has been successful to trigger a relaunch of the publishing initiatives of the Group," commented CEO of Infogrames David Gardner.

"I am confident in his sales experience and his organisational and management skills to give a new impetus to Group distribution."

Hautefort joined the company in June last year.

"My appointment as head of global distribution is a new exciting challenge for me," said Hautefort.

"Recent appointments of David Gardner and Phil Harrison is not only a new momentum in Infogrames’ history but also in my career and I am thrilled to think it will be the most exciting one."
