Curtain lifted on Sonic RPG

Sega has at last revealed the name of Bioware’s upcoming DS Sonic RPG – Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. The title will be released on Nintendo’s handheld some time before the end of the year.

Bioware has enjoyed tremendous RPG success in the past with hits such as Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire, Baldur’s Gate, Neverwinter Nights and recent Xbox 360 hit Mass Effect.

This game will be the latest in a long line of Western-orientated titles from Sega, the most recent being Bizarre Creations’ The Club on Xbox 360 and PS3 earlier this month.

As part of Sega’s Western push it has also acquired the likes of The Creative Assembly and Sports Interactive, and founded UK-based developer Sega Racing Studio.
