New UK agency opens for games writers

A new agency representing games writers and scriptwriters in the UK.

Called Sidelines, the company has been spun out of Side UK, which specialises in audio recording for games, and aims to "provide a high quality service to publishers and developers at all stages of script development, including concept evolution, environment filling, storylining, characterization and dialogue tuning".

Sidelines’ writers have worked on games including including: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Rogue Trooper, Primal, Fable, Killzone. The new outfit is headed up by Sini Downing.

Andy Emery, Side MD, commented: “We have created this agency in response to the clear demand for higher quality game scripts and our awareness of a number of talented and experienced writers without game industry representation.”
