Red Mile-owned Australian team working on UE3 Sin City title gets identity revamp

IR Gurus rebrands to Transmission Games

Australian studio IR Gurus has undergone a name change, now going by the moniker Transmission Games.

The studio is best known for its Heroes Over the Pacific and Heatseeker games, and currently working on the Sin City title for its new owner Red Mile, which acquired the team in August.

In an interview with GameSpot Australia, studio head Mike Fegan, said that the company is currently working through a four-year four-title deal with Codemasters, which includes the upcoming Brian Lara cricket title, alongside the Unreal Engine 3-powered Sin City, based on the comic books.

Fegan added that Red Mile is leaving the Transmission team to its devices and not interfering with its business: "They’re saying keep on doing what you’re doing, we’re very happy. The boss just tells me as long as we don’t screw up on Sin City, we’re fine [laughs]."
