Free passes up for grabs for university students

IGDA opens GDC08 scholarship programme

The International Game Developers Association has launched its scholarship programme for 2008’s Game Developers Conference.

Full-time university students (or equivalent) are eligible to enter at the IGDA scholarship site, although all applicants must be IGDA student members. Entrants will need to answer questions about their interests and experience to judge suitability. Those successful will receive a free ‘Main Conference’ pass for GDC08, and will be paired with an industry mentor and receive a tour of a local studio.

The deadline for entering is Friday December 7th, and the lucky winners will be announced in mid February. The conference itself takes place between February 18th and 22nd in San Francisco.
