Australian online tech powering new free UK-made real-money shooter

Kwari uses BigWorld in ‘cash for kills’ FPS

New UK developer Kwari, producing a FPS of the same name that gives players cash for accurate kills, has announced it is using BigWorld’s online technology suite.

The tech comprises of BigWorld Server, Content Creation Tools, 3D Client Engine, Live Management Tools and Instrumentation tools, which the company says can act as a complete MMOG solution.

Kwari President, Clive Hibberd, explained: "Kwari has set out to redefine the online gaming space with a unique online FPS that offers a true one-of-a-kind experience. We realized that such an advanced title requires a technology partner with a solution that was leagues ahead of the rest."

Hibberd continued: "After evaluating a wide range of middleware offerings, the BigWorld solution stood out as second to none. We are looking forward to delivering to audiences a brand new online experience which could not have been done without BigWorld’s solution."

"Kwari is creating a new arena of online gaming that is set to change the way we play games," said John De Margheriti, BigWorld CEO. "We are pleased to provide a technology platform that will allow their innovative game ideas to come to life, and we ‘re confident of the huge appeal that their online products are sure to bring to the market."
