Halo developer's first FPS series to hit Xbox Live Arcade

E3 2007: Bungie’s Marathon to get XBLA treatment

Marathon, the game that helped lay the foundation for Bungie’s Halo series, is set to get a new lease of life via an Xbox Live Arcade release

Developed by Freeverse, which looked after the production of Xbox Vision camera game Totemball, the game is due out this summer and was originally released in 1995.

The new version will be called Marathon: Durandal.

It’s just one of a number of in the works XBLA games that Microsoft said will take the number of games available on the service to 100 by the end of the year.
