Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto has been confirmed as keynote speaker at March's Game Developer Conference.

Miyamoto set for GDC keynote

The keynote, entitled ‘A Creative Vision’ will explain how his "singular creative vision" has defined his work in developing games in the Mario and Zelda series and in devising key technologies such as the Nintendo DS and Wii.

GDC takes place from March 5th to 9th at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco. Miyamoto’s keynote takes place on Thursday, March 8th.

“The Game Developers Conference is a place for developers to learn from one another, and I think it is safe to say that every member of the community has at one time or another fantasized about having Shigeru Miyamoto as a mentor and teacher,” said Jamil Moledina, executive director of the GDC.

“By guiding us through his creative vision with a keynote at this year’s GDC, Miyamoto is allowing all attendees this incomparable privilege.”
