Luminosity Gaming picks up second Battlegrounds team

Luminosity Gaming has signed their second PUBG team, picking up an all-Brazilian squad eager for chicken dinner.

The roster is Bruno ‘aXt’ Habitzreuter, Joseph ‘Tecnosh’ Touma, Tiago ‘SkipNhO’ Lannes and Mateus ‘yaTz’ Duarte. The four players have a high bar to hit, LG’s first roster won the third-person Squads tournament that took place during the Battlegrounds Gamescom international, so LG are already a known quantity in the Early Access title’s nascent competitive scene.

"I am extremely proud to widen our footprint in both the PUBG & Brazilian community," said Luminosity Gaming’s founder Steve Maida in a press release. "The Brazilian fans have given our organization so much over the years and their support is unyielding. We have put together an exciting group of talented and experienced competitors. To date we’ve amassed over $140,000 in prize money from battle royale tournaments. It’s early days and the future is bright. We’re all in and I can’t wait to see our new squad in action."

Battlegrounds recently made news for having the highest concurrent users of any game on Steam, with a peak of 1.3m players all logging on to fight to the death earlier this week.
