Playrise Digital turns 5 years old

It’s a happy fifth birthday for indie developer and publisher, Playrise Digital.

Literally today (16th May) sees Playrise celebrate their birth and the success of Table Top Racing: World Tour, which has seen the brand hit over 16 million downloads across all formats.

CEO of Playrise Digital, Nick Burcombe is an experienced hand having worked at Psygnosis through the early Playstation days and the development of WipEout as well as Studio Liverpool’s turn at the Formula 1 franchise.

“This has been an exhilarating and sometimes exhausting 5-year period," said Burcombe in a statement. "And knowing that Table Top Racing, as a brand, has now entertained more players than all of my previous games combined, is an amazing statistic for me.

"It’s immensely satisfying, but only the beginnings of what we would like to see both the company and brand achieve. It’s a testament to some of the amazing people who have contributed to Playrise’s success over the past 5 years – and very I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together. I’m hoping the next 5 years are even more exciting than the last!”
